Breaking News! Azteca is Coming!

Attention fellow wizards, it has been announced that the new world of Azteca is coming to the live game soon, and may I add that looking at the screenshots, this world is going to be "dino-mite"! Here are the images below (click here to view Massively's article):

Also, what the blogs did not say that we ended up finding out ourselves is very exciting. In addition to the new level 88 spells that will be given to players through gameplay (the rank 10 spells shown below), there are also more new astral spells to learn when at the appropriate level and when finishing the prerequisite quests. These astral spells will blow you away when you see what their effects are. All of the spell card pictures below were taken from the test realm update notes on the Wizard101 site, so these may or may not be the same cards that will be brought into the live realm later in the year (they may make "adjustments" before releasing them live). Anyways, take a look at them:

The Rank 10 spells can be learned by completing specific quests, one being school-related. Like all the others before these, you're required to be a minimum level or beyond in order to receive the task, and then the spell after completing your assigned task.

Along with the Rank 10 spell cards, there will be more astral school spells to train for as well. These star school spells can be learned when at the minimum of 84 and finishing the quests "Midnight Sun" and "King of Fang and Claw" are required as well.

The sun spells can be found when you achieve level 86 or higher in status and by completing two different quests, "Thorn in My Pride" in Zafaria and "Third Star on the Left" in Azteca (Test Rlm).

The moon spells that will be released with all the updates that accompany the new world Azteca can only be located and learned when you reach the level requirement of 88 or above. Like every other spell in this game update, you will need to finish a couple of quests before you can train for the spell cards, the quests being "Turn Up the Sun" and "In My Eyes", both in Azteca.

As much as the cards' appearances are cool, the Wizard101 crew claims that the animations for the spells are much cooler, especially considering the fact that the theme is based on the world of Azteca. If you are very excited about playing in this new world of intellectual dinosaurs, as well as some apocalyptic occurances possibly triggered by Morganthe herself, the test realm is open for all members and anyone who got a subscription within the last 30 days. Go have fun testing the new world, and remember, this world is opening in the live game later on this year, so don't get your hopes up about it being released too soon (it'll be sometime soon though, I hope).
