Breaking News! Azteca is Coming!

Attention fellow wizards, it has been announced that the new world of Azteca is coming to the live game soon, and may I add that looking at the screenshots, this world is going to be "dino-mite"! Here are the images below (click here to view Massively's article):

Also, what the blogs did not say that we ended up finding out ourselves is very exciting. In addition to the new level 88 spells that will be given to players through gameplay (the rank 10 spells shown below), there are also more new astral spells to learn when at the appropriate level and when finishing the prerequisite quests. These astral spells will blow you away when you see what their effects are. All of the spell card pictures below were taken from the test realm update notes on the Wizard101 site, so these may or may not be the same cards that will be brought into the live realm later in the year (they may make "adjustments" before releasing them live). Anyways, take a look at them:

The Rank 10 spells can be learned by completing specific quests, one being school-related. Like all the others before these, you're required to be a minimum level or beyond in order to receive the task, and then the spell after completing your assigned task.

Along with the Rank 10 spell cards, there will be more astral school spells to train for as well. These star school spells can be learned when at the minimum of 84 and finishing the quests "Midnight Sun" and "King of Fang and Claw" are required as well.

The sun spells can be found when you achieve level 86 or higher in status and by completing two different quests, "Thorn in My Pride" in Zafaria and "Third Star on the Left" in Azteca (Test Rlm).

The moon spells that will be released with all the updates that accompany the new world Azteca can only be located and learned when you reach the level requirement of 88 or above. Like every other spell in this game update, you will need to finish a couple of quests before you can train for the spell cards, the quests being "Turn Up the Sun" and "In My Eyes", both in Azteca.

As much as the cards' appearances are cool, the Wizard101 crew claims that the animations for the spells are much cooler, especially considering the fact that the theme is based on the world of Azteca. If you are very excited about playing in this new world of intellectual dinosaurs, as well as some apocalyptic occurances possibly triggered by Morganthe herself, the test realm is open for all members and anyone who got a subscription within the last 30 days. Go have fun testing the new world, and remember, this world is opening in the live game later on this year, so don't get your hopes up about it being released too soon (it'll be sometime soon though, I hope).

Getting Potions

Hello everybody, Tabitha here! Right now, I will be telling all of you, especially the newbies, about basic potions and where to get them!

First off, you have to be present in the Commons area or the Fairegrounds (carousel and minigames area) of Wizard City. Then, go to the carousel if you're not in the Fairegrounds already. In front of the carousel, you should see a middle-aged woman, Hilda Brewer. It's Hilda who offers you potions with healing properties in exchange for some gold that you must have in order to purchase some. There may be other potion venders elsewhere in the Spiral, but as far I know, there aren't many known sellers of these anywhere else.

When you purchase one or more of these potions, you must know what they can do for you and realize that you cannot waste them, as they replenish your health and your mana energy, no matter how low or how not-so-low.

Another thing that you'll figure out as you're on your way to greatness is that whenever you complete a handful of tasks, starting with Wizard City's troubles, you end up being rewarded with a vial. These vials are essential to you, later on in the game even more so, because of the fact that you will face harder enemies and even more difficult (and lengthy) tasks.

That's basically all you need to know about Hilda's potion refills, but you never know if she will change her recipe or make new concoctions with spellrific effects. (Get it? Spell-rific?) Well... anyways, have an awesome rest of the day you guys!

We're Back Guys!!

Hey, friends! We're back from a long vacation and we will be trying to post updates for you from time to time. Because of this, you might want to check back every other week or so and see if we have new information to share with you guys. There's so much that you've missed in the Spiral, including the discovery of new accessible worlds to explore once you've met the requirements to travel there, and there's much more than just that. So come back weekly to expand your knowledge and connect with us whenever we have something to talk about.

Talk to you all soon,
The Wiz Kids Gang

( P.S. Please become members of our blog, we will greatly appreciate it)
